Top 10 legal software in Australia

Looking back at all of the available resources out there on "how to change your paradigm", or "how to plan your life and be certain about where you will be in 10 years from now" I realize that an event like the pandemic can really turn the world upside down and make us realize that there are areas of our lives that cannot be predicted with certainty and we must be ok with it. It became so intuitive for us to not leave any room for errors, follow a trend or be enmeshed in a toxic positivity conscious, however, what we need to realize is that every single thing of this world has its place in our lives, at a certain point in time and for a certain reason. This theory especially applies to the legal industry and by embracing it we can actually become a part of the transformation. The pandemic showed us how far we are from each other despite being so close, how things are really going in our lives, despite us having a certain opinion about that, but most importantly it taught us that we have to keep fighting and that the future is in our hands.

As you've probably noticed, I've been passionate about what is really happening with the legal industry, wondering about how the grey area between legal and technology can be transformed and especially how to befriend the two and make them hear each other?! Today, I am going to take a look at how things are going in Australia and what preference do legal professionals give to legal software. We will see some new names that came up in our research, which is exciting.

The winner in Australia is Moxtra. This legal software powers OneStop Portal and is known for being the ultimate solution that allows law firms to securely exchange messages, schedule video meetings, centralized document collaboration and not only. This software  can operate as a standalone web or mobile app or as a simple extension.

ActionStep is another legal software that will allow legal professionals to transform their legal practice into an efficient business. What sets it apart from the other legal software is the ability to check off every task before moving on to the next one.

App4Legal came up during our research in other countries as well. We are aware of its multilingual and multiple currencies functionality, availability on cloud and on Private Saas & server.

BQE will allow you to monitor client expectations, events, tasks and not only by connecting front and back office operations. Business and AI will provide an intuitive user-friendly interface for ease of data entry.

The Athennian legal software seems to be exclusively used in Australia. It is built to support all types of entities: LCCs, BVs, LPs, trusts and ULCs. In addition, it is designed to help you collaborate with colleagues across regions. Also, all fillings are fully automated which will allow for rapid filings without risk of human error.

Bill4Time is a great tool for law firms that want to streamline their invoicing. It also offers flexible integration with products you already depend on.

The SmartAdvocate is a fully browser-based system that allows law firms to choose between SmartAdvocate's cloud and server version. Its Microsoft Office Add-Ins makes it easy to associate emails received from Outlook and create document templates from your existing Word and Excel forms.

Clio and MyCase have been mentioned a couple of times and are pretty popular in the US and Canada and Australia is not an exception.

And finally, last but not least important, the PracticePanther. This legal software allows you to reduce non-billable hours, avoid communication mishaps and access need-to-know data anytime.

The latest global events have made the world much smaller and easier to access. Today, I am confident that we have a chance to build a progressive legal community around the world, meaning that no matter where you are and what language you speak you have a voice that needs to be heard. Because even the smallest voice can contribute to a bigger change.

How are you contributing to this much needed change today?
