Top 10 legal software in the US

Our Legal Software journey around the world, at least for now, will be resumed with the top ten used legal platforms in the US. The question that popped up in my head is "where did everything start"? I am tempted to say that the first legal software was designed in one of the  Silicon Valley' startups, however, I may be wrong. Research will show us eventually how and where this new legal tech wave has its origins, but I will talk about that in a different article. So, let's turn our focus towards the US.

So far, Clio came up as the leader in the US and we did see it coming up in other countries as well. Having personal experience working with this software I can see why. It has a very simple look, it is easy to navigate, easy to manage and easy to train others to access it. It is one of the softwares that allows you to access and manage your work in one central system so that you have everything you need in one place.

MyCase came up as number two, however, I assume that if we look at the number of users we will find a pretty large number due to it being very popular even before Clio became known in the legal market. MyCase has always been used as a tool for the legal firms and a great way to streamline day-to-day processes in one place. Some of the MayCase users might have upgraded to other platforms like Clio, but the most resistant to change law firms are probably still very committed to it.

Bill4Time is a legal software that came up as number three in the top ten used legal software in the US. I personally haven't seen it being used very often, but again, maybe not on the East Coast. Bill4Time is known as a great tool that allows law firms to streamline their invoicing, time & billing and practice management. In addition, it allows reconciliation between Trust Accounting and IOLTA.

Next one on the list is the Legal Files. This software offers law firms a "big picture" at their firm, including caseloads, schedules and case statutes.

Zola Suite, is another cloud-based  legal software that makes legal billing less painful. It features task management, built-in-email access and Document Automation. It was named one of the TechnoLawer's Top Products of 2020 based on popularity among readers.

PracticePanther is an easy, user-friendly and intuitive legal software that allows you to reduce non-billable hours, avoid communication mishaps, access need-to-know data anytime and grow your firms. It is a game-changing modern collaboration.

CosmoLex is the only cloud-based, law practice management software with built-in, compliant legal accounting, no QuickBooks needed. This platform eliminates the struggle of juggling separate systems for law practice management, billing and accounting. LawPay credit card processing is also built-in with no fixed monthly fee.

TimeSolv has been the number one web-based billing solution for attorneys and other professionals. It also has been ranked as the number one legal billing software for usability.

ActionStep is a legal platform specially designed for business-minded law firms who want to simplify how they work, automate their unique processes and optimize their legal output. It is known for being the key to transforming your legal practice into an efficient business.

And finally, the last one, but not least important legal software, GrowPath, an all-in-one case management system for law firms seeking to accelerate their growth. This legal software allows you to tailor your business intelligence dashboard to the way you monitor your business . Additionally, you will be able to access data quickly and always have visibility of the metrics you need for efficient law firm management and growth.

Please note that our top ten selections may be very different from others out there. Although, our team did put a lot of effort into putting these ratings together, it is almost impossible to be very precise and accurate when jotting them down due to lack of actual user surveys. It is similar to the writing of an event. There will be a lot of data on a particular event after it was consumed as opposed to when it is in progress. This is why we encourage you to stay tuned and keep an eye on our legal tech content.
