Virtual Law Firm. Difference between myth and reality

Sometimes our lives take a spiral course instead of a linear one and no matter how much we want to control or change its course, it is not listening to us. The truth is, however, that I believe in one's capacity to direct the wind sometimes. The point I am trying to make it is quite different. There are many careers out there that require lots of direction and changes throughout life, however, law seemed pretty straightforward to me. It projected a somewhat stable life and income, prestige, reputation, good name [...] you name it. One thing I've learned since joining the legal crew was that one of the skills least used is the ability to listen. Well maybe lawyers...

Law Schools may need to reinvent themselves, but how?

Those of you who are passionate about astrology must have heard that although nobody could really predict the Pandemic, most astrologers and other professionals in the related fields knew that a major event was coming due to the 6 or 7 eclipses that took place in only one year, which is a lot. A worldwide financial crisis was expected, but not a pandemic, and we've ended up having both. Why Reinventing Yourself as a Law School Graduate Matters More Than Ever

One of my favorite professors at "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University in Iași once told us during a lecture that - even though we were born around the 1990s - we still carried the imprint of a communist mindset. If you were born in Eastern Europe or know someone who was, you’ve likely heard countless stories: about life before and after independence, and the shifting realities of the present. I'm not here to argue whether that statement was right or wrong. But one thing I remember clearly is that communism was, in many ways, synonymous with commitment. My mother often reminisces about how life used to follow a predictable and secure path. For women, the future was simple: get married or...

Understanding the Legal Industry’s Reluctance Toward Transformation

A friend recently shared an article with me about the concept of “toxic positivity” - the idea that positivity, when taken to an extreme or misapplied, can become harmful or invalidating. As someone deeply fascinated by how the human mind works, I found it refreshing to explore a perspective that challenges mainstream self-help narratives. After all, who among us hasn’t, at some point, reached for that book - the one that promises to fix us, help us lose weight, become a better leader, or finally feel whole? One of the most impactful books I encountered during my time in startup management was Leading with Questions. The core premise is simple yet profound: asking the right question is half the answer. So,...
