Law Schools may need to reinvent themselves, but how?

Those of you who are passionate about astrology must have heard that although nobody could really predict the Pandemic, most astrologers and other professionals in the related fields knew that a major event was coming due to the 6 or 7 eclipses that took place in only one year, which is a lot. A worldwide financial crisis was expected, but not a pandemic, and we've ended up having both. This tells us that there are signs everywhere we just don't see them because we refuse to, or we are not ready. Maybe we were not ready to see the pandemic coming because we were not ready for a big change on the conscience level. Eckhart Tolle calls it "collective spiritual...

What will it take to become an empathetic lawyer?

Many of us who have decided to take on a career in the legal field, regardless of whether you are a practicing lawyer or not, did that because something about being a legal professional appealed to them. A wise man once said that our character shapes our destiny. I happen to agree with the fact that to be able to thrive in a certain field, legal or not, you need to have a certain character for that. Where technology meets the law and where it fails it?

The union between technology and law became very popular in the last few years. Although, technology has not been the only disrupter of the legal industry, it was and still is one of the most popular. This innovative "friendship " takes me to my first internship, which involved nothing but sorting through a huge pile of dusty files. Also, one of my clients who seems so resistant to letting go of his physical files and every time I walk into his office, I feel like he may need to rent another floor just for his files. Luckily, he owns the entire building. You may find some humor in my stories, because I do too, however, this is the truth and...

Why reinventing yourself as a Law School graduate will become significant?

One of my favorite professors at "AI. Cuza Iassy" told us during a class that although we were born little before or after the 90', we still had a communist mindset. If you were born in East Europe or know somebody who was, you've probably heard a lot of stories about life before many countries obtained so much wanted independence, life after acquiring it and life in the present moment. I would probably be the wrong person to argue that fact, support or deny it , but one thing I remember very well is that Communism was a lot about commitment. I still hear my mom bragging about that. How wonderful it was that one would know exactly a life...

Why are lawyers so resistant to transformation?

One of my friends shared with me a few weeks ago an article about how positivity can, in fact, become and/or be perceived as toxic. It was interesting to explore another perspective, especially that I've always been passionate about how the human mind works. We can't deny the fact that we've found ourselves at least once searching for that right book that will fix us. Maybe lose a few pounds, learn how to become a team player, a better boss or employee, you name it. One of the most helpful and interesting books I've ever read during my time in the start up management was 'Leading with Questions", because one right question equals half of the answer. So, something tells...
